Dua Lipa is still waiting to move into her dream house in London, even though she bought it six years ago.

The singer is after a huge renovation, which means that the house will not be ready until 2027.

Reports say that Dua and her husband, Callum Turner, have spent years planning major changes to the property.

The project includes the construction of a large basement with swimming pool, music studio and private cinema.

The refurbishment is expected to cost around £3 million.

The work has taken much longer than expected because it was a slow process to get permission.

Dua’s team did not apply until 2021, but construction did not start until 2024 after waiting three years for approval.

However, the project has not been easy. Local groups raised concerns about losing green space, protecting old trees and possible flooding in the area.

Because of this, builders had to work very carefully, and about 20 workers have been on site for more than a year, digging several meters underground, while making sure that the nearby historic trees are not damaged.

Dua’s team has also pledged to keep noise and dust to a minimum, saying they are “committed to minimizing disruption to local residents and businesses during construction.”

Design expert Leigh Ann Raines said projects like this naturally take longer than usual because of how complicated they are.

“She could invest £3 million to make this a home that suits her needs,” Raines said.

She added: “This takes time. Rome wasn’t built in a day!”
