WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event comes to Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday night.
The event is expected to feature the company’s top stars going head-to-head with possible additions to the Undisputed WWE Championship match at SummerSlam on the line.

New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson is also expected to be in attendance and have an angle with World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns. Brunson, who has appeared in a WWE ring before, said during the NBA playoffs that he and a trainer acknowledge Reigns before each match.
It’s unclear, but it looks like there’s a chance Brunson could become an honorary member of Bloodline. But we’ll see.

Danhausen vs. JD McDonagh in a No DQ match

Doomsday has been upset with Danhausen for weeks after he took Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh’s money without cursing an opponent for it. Mysterio and McDonagh stole the Knicks jersey given to Danhausen to “uncurse” them when New York won the NBA Championship. The stakes were raised on Monday when it became a no disqualification match.
Prediction: You can’t let Danhausen lose in front of the New York crowd. It will be Danhausen who will go over McDonagh.

Paige and Brie Bella have been the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions since WrestleMania 42. But their reign may be on the line as they take on Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley with the title on the line. Reid and Henley, members of Fatal Influence, have been on a tear since making their main roster debut. There is a good chance that Reid and Henley will leave New York with the tag belts.
Prediction: Fatal Influence take the tag team titles.

Bayley vs. Lyra the Valkyrie

Lyra Valkyria and Bayley were once friends, but a tag team title loss saw Valkyria turn on Bayley a few weeks ago. On Monday, Valkyria came out crushed. She blamed Bayley for holding her back as a competitor. Their feud will come to a head in the ring at Madison Square Garden.
Prediction: Valkyria will pick up a huge win over Bayley.

CM Punk and Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther and Sami Zayn

The big ticket match will be a tag team brawl between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes and Gunther and Sami Zayn. Rhodes, Gunther and Zayn have been involved in a major feud for over a month, with Zayn becoming the Undisputed WWE Champion at Night of Champions in June. However, his title reign only lasted nine days as Punk made a dramatic return to “Monday Night Raw” and beat Zayn for the title. Punk and Rhodes agreed to a match for the belt at SummerSlam, but the competitors could increase to that match based on the result on Saturday night. If Gunther and Zayn win, they will be added to the match. It raises the stakes for what should be an interesting tag team match.
Prediction: Punk and Rhodes work together to fend off Gunther and Zayn.
