Billie Eilish has landed in hot water for her latest claims amid the success of her recently released concert film, Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D).
The 24-year-old musician recently spoke out about his stance on eating meat and slammed people who eat meat, but the comments sparked quite a bit of backlash.
“You guys won’t like me for this one… Eating meat is inherently wrong. Two things can’t go together. ‘I love animals, I love all animals so much,’ and ‘I eat meat,'” the Grammy winner said.
Social media was awash with comments calling Eilish a “hypocrite” and basing her double standards to be judgmental.
“Love her but she’s a bit of a hypocrite and I also feel like this is a very privileged bid lol,” one scout wrote on social media at X.
Another added: “This is a very privileged position to be in. The body works better when we eat meat. If we cut it out, we’d have to take a lot of supplements and that’s not possible for most people. I’m sure if we generally didn’t need to eat it for better health, we wouldn’t.”
A third went on to say, “so privileged and judgmental lol” and “I’m crying, Billie Eilish made a growth and almost every makeup brand she uses tests on animals.”
This comes just after Eilish hit several milestones with her concert film, including a 99% Rotten Tomatoes score.
