
Lewis Capaldi is celebrating a huge milestone in both his personal and professional life.
Saturday, June 27, the Grammy-nominated musician officially marked one year since he returned to music after announcing a hiatus in 2023 due to mental health issues.
Taking to his Instagram, Capaldi shared a series of photos from the scene along with a heartfelt note.
“A year back in the saddle and from getting back on stage at Glastonbury to now, what a year it’s been,” wrote Capaldi, 29.
It is celebrated by playing to 70 thousand people in Exeter over the next two days. Thanks for everything my guys,” he added.
Following his performance at Glastonbury 2023 One you loved hitmaker released a statement confirming that he will be retiring from music.
“I used to be able to enjoy every second of shows like this and I had hoped that 3 weeks away would sort me out,” he wrote.
“But the truth is, I’m still learning to adapt to the effects of my Tourette’s, and on Saturday it became clear that I need to spend a lot more time getting my mental and physical health under control so that I can keep doing everything I love for a long time.”
After a long hiatus, Capaldi finally returned to music with his single, Survivepublished June 27, 2025.
He also returned to the Glastonbury stage on the same day and has shown no signs of slowing down since.
