Certified copy of the Supreme Court order of May 12 had been filed before the court
ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has set June 1 to hear the applications for stay of sentence filed by human rights lawyers Imaan Zainab Mazari-Hazir and Hadi Ali Chattha in the social media posting case, following directions issued earlier this month by the Supreme Court.
According to a one-page written order issued by IHC Judge Muhammad Azam Khan after last week’s proceedings, a certified copy of the Supreme Court’s May 12 order had been filed before the court.
The Supreme Court had asked the IHC to decide within two weeks on the couple’s requests for suspension of their sentences.
